PAM CARTER was born in Tanganyika, East Africa to an Austrian mother and Scottish father, Pam moved to Scotland at the age of thirteen. She graduated from Glasgow School of Art in the seventies and immediately embarked on a career in teaching. She took a year out to study in Chicago, then spent a further two years teaching art in the Seychelles. From the mid-eighties she taught in various colleges until in August 2004 she gave up her academic career to concentrate on painting full time.Pam's seascapes originate on the rugged West Coast of Scotland with its isolated cottages and wild colours, and amongst the cliffs and fishing villages of the East Coast. Pam's award winning artwork is held in a range of private and corporate collections. She has also held numerous solo exhibitions throughout Britain and in the USA and has participated in several group shows including the Royal Scottish Society.

SARA MEAD has lived and painted in Renfrewshire for the past eight years and has recently (May 07) moved to Moseley, Birmingham. Sara paints prolifically in between caring for her four children! She has been painting seriously since late 1999 largely as a result of encouragement and support of the renowned Scottish Watercolorist Tom Shanks. Sara's subject and approach is varied but her work has an underlying consistency in the use of fervent colour to reflect feelings and prompt emotion. Mixed media harbour scenes represent some of her favourite work, stemming from a childhood love for the coast - often depicted in quirky and lively manner.

RONNIE FULTON moved from Portpatrick on Scotland’s west coast to North Berwick on the east in 2005,

'It is amazing how versatile and expressive a material clay is, that I can still be learning after 30 years of potting. My work is still mainly influenced by boats, the sea and our interaction with it. I hate to make moulds so most work is made using a combination of slab, pinch or throwing. Coloured slips are used to decorate and stoneware glazes add depth and variety to the work. Often I incorporate objects found while beach combing. This could involve melting sea glass into a boat or mounting work on driftwood. All work is therefore individually made and each piece unique. I enjoy working with clay and hope that this is reflected in my work.'

JOLOMO John Lowrie Morrison was born in Glasgow in 1948. After completing a degree in Drawing and Painting at Glasgow School of Art he set out to pursue a career in art and design; he funded his painting by teaching, firstly as Head of Art and Design at Lochgilphead High School and then as Art Adviser for the Strathclyde Region. During this formative period John travelled extensively around Europe with his family and it was here that he began to develop the distinctive style which has brought him so much success.
